CEDAR VALE -- Henry Johnson, 77, of Cedar Vale, formerly of Scammon, died at 6 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at the Cedar Vale Hospital.

He was born July 18, 1923, at Scammon, to Issac and Margery Ann Close Johnson. He attended school at Roseland.

Mr. Johnson enlisted in the U.S. Army on June 14, 1942, but later received a medical discharge.

Survivors include a sister, Marjorie Keener of Scammon; a niece; a nephew; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Issac, Joseph and Thomas Johnson.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hosey Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Verl Strong officiating. Burial will follow.

Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, Weir, which is handling all arrangements.
