Glendon Charles Smith, 82, of Walnut Ridge, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at his home. Glendon was born on Wednesday, March 27, 1940, in Biggers, Arkansas, to Ralph and Pauline Crays Smith.
Glendon is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Pauline; brother, William Ralph "Sonny" Smith; and sister Juanita Huddleston.
Glendon is survived by his loving wife Melba Wright Smith; daughter, Sheila Major, of Hoxie; sons, Darrell (Lisa) Smith, of Reyno, David (Mary) Smith, of Jonesboro, Douglas Smith, of Jonesboro, Donnie (Glenda) Smith, of Ravenden, and Daniel (Janessa) Smith, of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Kristi Smith, Kevin Smith, Tonya Pepper, Toni Gibson, Valerie Ware, Bradley Carter, Zachary Dunn, James David Weir, Mathew Weir, Mitchell Weir, Adam Smith, Heather Smith, Devin Smith, Autumn Smith, Davis Smith, Hayden Smith, Madelyn Smith, Ava Smith, and Harper Smith; many great grandchildren; nieces, Tina Daniel, Becky Smith Hedge, Kathy Smith, Dottie King, and Kristina Baker; nephews, Chris Smith, Tim Smith, and Robin Baker.
Glendon's visitation will be held in the chapel of Hope Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm, in the Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland.
