NEW HAMBURG. - Dora Sidona Apppel, wife of ex-Councillor L. E. Appel, died suddenly at her home on Waterloo street Saturday evening. She was the only daughter of ex-Reeve Frederick and Mrs. Debus of this village and was born in Tavistock on June 4, 1900. In November, 1938, at Stratford, she married L. E. Appel. She had been ill for some time.
She had been prominent in women's lawn bowling circles here for years, holding the office of secretary until last year.
She leaves to mourn besides her parents and husband, one brother, Lloyd, at home.
