He was born October 18, 1965 in Detroit, MI to Paul A. and Teresa A. (Brooks) Gauthier, Sr. Paul was a lifetime resident of the area, and a 1983 graduate of Monroe High School. He worked for himself as a carpenter in the Toledo and Monroe areas.
Paul will be remembered by his family and friends for being just a simple guy who enjoyed riding his Harley, reading the Bible, working hard, and the time he spent with those he loved.
He is survived by his parents, Teresa A. (Ronald) Carter of Monroe, and Paul A. (Kathy) Gauthier, Sr. of Melbourne, FL; his grandfather, Harold Carter of Ocala, FL; his children, Joshua and Maray Gauthier; his sister, Sherri A. Powers of LaSalle, Rachelle L. Carter of Houston, TX, and Dawn R. (Kevin) VanDaele of Lambertville, MI,; nieces and nephews, Kayla Turner, Nicholas Powers, Gabriella Cosby, Brendan Cosby, and Madalyn VanDaele; and his aunts, Brenda (Adam) Steele, Laura (Ron) Daroczy, and Rhonda (William) Breeding.
Sadly, his grandparents, Frank and Irene Brooks, Mary Jane Carter, Anne Marie and Paul Gauthier, his uncle, TerryLee Brooks, all preceded him in death.
Friends are invited to call from 1-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, at the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 South Telegraph Road, where services honoring his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Rev. Roy Southerland pastor at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will be officiating.
