Myrtle Faye Smith (Fuller) was born to the late James Lloyd Ellis Fuller and Alice Maudeen Carroll in Blooming Grove, Texas on September 25, 1941.

Faye was the oldest of five siblings; three girls and two boys. They lived on a farm where their father took immense pride in producing cotton and vegetables. Being the oldest siblings, Faye and Nell helped their father pick cotton until the family moved.

At the tender age of 14, Faye was awestruck by her future husband Charles Smith! They dated a short while before Charles left for military service in the United States Army for several years. During one home visit, when she was 19 years old, Charles and Faye married and moved to Fort Worth, Texas. Two short years later, their only child was born at Fort Brag in North Carolina, Charles Don Smith, Jr (Donnie). Donnie was the center of their life.

For 25 years, Faye was a devoted employee of Nationwide Papers. There she served as a "voucher clerk" and handled all billing matters for the fine paper department. She would also fill in on the switchboard when they needed help.

Faye was a simple woman that lived a simple life! She loved spending quality time with Charles and her family and friends. They enjoyed camping and gambling together; Faye would get the biggest smile every time she pulled the handle on the slot machines. In her spare time, she loved playing dominos and SkipBo, along with watching her favorite game shows on TV.

Her family was her favorite thing to brag about especially when she became grandmother to Drew and Chase. She loved those boys so much and was so proud of them and every one of their accomplishments. Drew's daughter Stormy made Faye a great-grandmother four years ago and any time she had the opportunity to see her, hear her voice over a phone, or speak of her to others, her whole face lit up!

Faye is survived by her sisters Nell Dixon and Mary McCann, son Donnie Smith; grandsons Drew Smith and Chase Smith, great granddaughter Stormy River Smith.
