Jason enjoyed fishing, watching fishing, hunting, and football. He was the voice of Laney Men's varsity soccer and a huge Cowboys and Jeff Gordon fan. His biggest accomplishments were being a great husband and father as well as a great friend and all-around know-it-all.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Nina B. Hunt, and mother-in-law, Sandra McPhatter.
Jason is survived by his wife, Allison; 2 sons, Matthew and Mark; father, Preston; 2 brothers, Preston, Jr. (Louri) and Josh; sister, Andrea (Gary); father-in-law, Alan; Aunt Gertie, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dog, Bailey. He loved all including his extended family and friends.
A memorial service was held April 24, 2016, at Port City Community Church in Wilmington, NC. Visitation with the family followed the service.
