Ron was born in Sigourney, IA to Elsie (nee Ingle) and Harry Bottorff. He graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1967.
Ron was preceeded in death by his parents, sister Nancy (Bottorff) Stout, and brother Ross Bottorff.
Ron leaves behind wife Dorothy (nee Cipriani), brother Rex (Janice) Bottorff, daughter Angela Arendt (Peter McGaugh), daughter Chanon Shawver (Perry), son Todd Bottorff (Trina), son Lawrence Bottorff (Christine), daughter Cristi Maver (Max), son Sean Bottorff, step-daughters Emily and Ann Zifchak, 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held at McCormick Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl. Memphis, TN 38105, or Ottumwa Food Pantry.
