Ruth M. Burkett, 75, of Timblin, died Saturday, April 11, 1981 in the Pennsylvania Memorial Home in Brookville.
Born April 10,1906 in Coolspring, she was a daughter of Edward and Mina (Smith) Thompson.
She was married to Walter Burkett on Dec.24,1929.
A member of the Church of the Nazarene of Timblin, she was a resident of the area all her life.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Walter Burkett, one daughter, Mrs. Clair (Elizabeth) Emery of Brookville R.D. 1 and two sons, Donald E. Burkett of Distant, and Harold Burkett of Timblin. Also surviving are nine grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Deeley Funeral Home in Punxsutawney from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday from the funeral home with Reverends Richard Baker and Robert Jonacek officiating.
Interment will follow at Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville.
