Vern R. Olson was a 1967 graduate of Burbank High School, Burbank, California. While at Burbank High, Vern was active in manny school activities. He played on the varsity water polo team, the swim team, the school play, ASB yell leader squad, Ephebians, A Cappella, Honor Roll, Letterman's Club. We were told that Vern Olson died of Aids, but this is not confirmed. We were also told that Vern changed his name.
Vern is survived by his parents Ralph and Dorothy Olson; three sisters, Vonnie, Valerie and Vrenda.
A classmate remembers Vern Olson:
I believe he played the lead male
role in the Operetta "Brigadoon" in either '66 or '67. Sherry Giesinger was the
lead who played Fiona. I don't remember his character's name but I was in the
chorus.
