Celeste M. Cantrell Watson, age 96 of Overland, MO, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. She was born on Saturday, October 8, 1921 in Cape Girardeau, MO, the daughter of the late Harry and Grace (nee Matlock) Cantrell.

Celeste was the beloved wife for 57 years of the late Ernest Marshall "Ernie" Watson; dearest mother of Rev. Daniel Marshall Watson and the late infants, Karen Ruth and baby Watson; dearest mother-in-law of Rev. Paula Marie Jackson; cherished grandmother of Carrie Elisabeth Fleetwood Watson (Bradley Allen Fletcher), John Frederick Reinsmith Watson and Miryam Wa Tsa Me Jackson (John Nelson Adams); cherished great-grandmother of Adam Tzuriel and Noel Celeste; dear sister of the late Eugene Cantrell; dear aunt of Janet Cantrell Wills and Robert Cantrell; and our dear friend.

Celeste retired from Schnucks after 33 years and was a long time, faithful member of Overland Baptist Church. She is remembered by countless friends from many different circles as a patient listener and an excellent teacher, whose diplomatic gifts were motivated by genuine respect for all people.

Services: Memorial Service and Celebration of Celeste's life were held at Overland Baptist Church, 9303 Midland Boulevard, Overland, MO on Saturday, October 14 at 5:00 p.m. with a reception following. Burial private at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
