He enjoyed designing and building houses for the family completing four such opportunities as well as some great traveling, landscaping, and music. While with the Columbus schools, he was a teacher, principal, supervisor of instruction, and executive director of middle and high schools. At Bexley, with the support of staff, Bexley Middle School became an award winning school. Upon his first retirement, he became an adjunct professor at Otterbein University. Then he became the director of curriculum and instruction at the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow.
