Ruby Mae Walker 90 passed away August 27, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was a long-time resident of West Newton, Indiana since 1962, until her health required her to move into Assisted Living Care.
Ruby was born in Versailles, Indiana on March 10, 1932, to the late Charles Reynolds and Louella (Martin) Reynolds McDonough.
She married Harlin G. Walker, March 11, 1950, the day after she turned 18 years old, and they spent the next 59 years together.
Ruby is survived by her loving son, Harlin J. (Anita) Walker, son-in-law, Dudley Phillips, her loving grandchildren, Harlin (Donna) Walker III, Travis Walker, Mitchell (Melissa) Walker, Alex (Tiffany) Walker, Angelica (Kevin) Walker, Shea (Kris) Callahan, Jason (Rana) Phillips, Whitney (Zachary) Chowning, 25 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family that also dearly loved her.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlin G. Walker, her daughter, Rose Marie Phillips, her stepfather, Gale McDonough, a grandchild, and several great grandchildren.
Ruby was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Services will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, 3:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with visitation being held there on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, 4:00-8:00pm and Thursday, September 1, 2022, 2:00-3:00pm. She will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton, Indiana.
