SULPHUR -- Services for Corinne A. Hunter, 80, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sulphur United Methodist Church with the Rev. Emery Mason officiating. Interment will follow at Palmer Cemetery.

Born Feb. 29, 1920, at Davis to Marshall and Ida Lewis Montgomery, she died Jan. 13, 2001, at Sulphur. She married Onnel J. Hunter Dec. 25, 1940, at Davis. He preceded her in death July 6, 1995. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Sonny Montgomery, and a sister, Bonnie Childress.

Mrs. Hunter graduated from Davis High School. She moved to Sulphur where she worked for several years at Klothes Kloset. She was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church for many years before it merged with Sulphur United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Mike Hunter, Sulphur two sisters, Barbara Runnels, Sulphur, and Norma Jean Banks, Freeport, Texas; and one grandson.

Bearers are Don Braden, Dr. G. T. Easley, Rick McNeil, Steve Dilbeck, Albert "Butch" Hill and Harold Hunt. Honorary bearers are Joe Pirkle, Glenn Mann, Joe Campbell, Barclay Martin, Jerry Mobley, Bob Stevens, Dick Stephens, Dewey Runyan and Jerry Runyan.

Services are under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
