Dorothy Collins James, 74, passed away on February 28, 2022. She was born on May 9, 1947 in West Blocton, Alabama to the late Reverend Ed and Rhoda Collins.
Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age, and joined Liberty Baptist Church in West Blocton, Alabama. She met and married Joseph James Jr. and they had three children.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: William, Clarence, and Alfonzo and six sisters: Maggie, Laura, Wilma, Zenobia, Wanda and Nora.
Survivors include: her children; grandchildren; great grandchildren; siblings; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives that will forever cherish the memories shared with this beautiful soul
Celebration of Life Services were held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM at West Blocton Middle School in West Blocton, Alabama with Rev. Michael James officiating. Interment followed at Shiney Rock Cemetery in West Blocton, Bibb County, Alabama.
