Death last week claimed one of Chelan Valley's best-known and well beloved pioneer ladies – Mrs. Ellen Farley.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Farley, 76, who died at her home here Saturday morning wee held Sunday.
Mrs. Farley was born Oct. 21, 1857, in Keokuk Co, Iowa, has resided in Chelan since 1890. On Feb. 22, 1877 she married Percy H. Farley, the couple then moved to Kansas where they resided until 1886. Mr. Farley died in 1905.
Besides a sister, Mrs. Jennie Robinson of Minnesota, Mrs. Farley leaves five sons and one daughter. The are Mrs. Lois Clabots of Susanville, Cal., Ross of Seattle, William and Harley of Chelan, Rollo of Okanogan and Clyde of Bellingham.
