HENRY THOMAS ESLINGER - Tuesday - April 22, 1997

Kelso - Henry Thomas Eslinger, 85, of Kelso, died April 11, 1997.
He was born June 21, 1911, at Tiffin, Mo., to Frank Talmage and Etta (Vaughn) Eslinger.
Henry married Lulu Alma Cob on June 1, 1932, and lived in Missouri where he farmed until they moved to Eastern Washington. There he worked in orchards and warehouses until his retirement in the summer of 1994. He then moved to Kelso.
He had been a member of the Missionary Baptist Church since early adulthood.
He lived in Eastern Washington for 45 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Luetta Jeffery, Kelso; a sister, Lucy Jane Jones, Kelso; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lulu Eslinger; a brother, George Westly Eslinger; one granddaughter; and his parents.
Services were held on Thursday, April 17, 1997, in Manson, at the New Home Missionary Baptist Church, 11 a.m. Officiating was Meredith Jefferies. Interment took place at the Fraternal Cemetery in Chelan.
Arrangements are by Dahl Ditlevsen-Moore Funeral Home, Kelso.

Kelso - Henry Thomas Eslinger, 85, of Kelso, died April 11, 1997.
