Linda Susan (Reinhardt) Thompson, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on June 20, 2022, at the age of 69.
She was born on March 24, 1953, in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
Linda was the youngest of the five children born to Ira and Norma (Hickmott) Reinhardt. She grew up in Benton Harbor, Michigan, where her father was a butcher and a farmer. Her family moved to Anderson, Indiana, when she was in high school, where she graduated from Anderson High School. Linda attended Anderson University where she met her husband Robert Thompson. They got married on Nov 24, 1975. Eventually Linda and family ended up in Texas. She worked hard to help support her family and eventually retired from Texas American Title as an Escrow Closer.
Linda loved taking walks and lying out on the beach, where she enjoyed looking for shells and sand dollars. She was an avid reader who loved reading suspense thrillers, science fiction and horror fiction. Linda liked listening to music and taught herself to play piano by ear. She also enjoyed movies and Broadway musicals. Linda had a big caring heart, always helping people when she could, putting others ahead herself. She was a great cook and baker; she was highly creative and often produced her own recipes.
Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She loved decorating the trees and the house. She baked a bunch of cookies at Christmas and gave trays of cookies to friends and neighbors.
Linda also loved animals. She had three dogs: Angel, Dora, and Poe and loved them till the end.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Rick and Bruce Reinhardt.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; her son, Nathan and his wife, Heather; her brother, Bob Reinhardt and his wife Martha; her sister, Joanne Malbone and her husband Tom; her nephews, Michael and Mark; and her niece Jody Martin; and numerous other family members.
Linda was dearly loved by everyone she knew and will always be remembered. She will be missed.
