Funeral services for Margaret Johnson, 74, of Arlington, are scheduled for 10:00am, Monday, February 4, 2008, at Hiett's LyBrand Chapel in Edgewood. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Edgewood.
Margaret passed away January 31, 2008, at her home in Arlington.
Margaret Nell Carpenter was born December 1, 1933, in Balmorhea, TX, to the late Marvin and Annie Halbert Carpenter. She was raised in Corsicana where she attended school. On November 25, 1967, in Durant, Oklahoma Margaret was married to Weldon Wayne "Pee Wee" Johnson. They made their home in Arlington, where she enjoyed being a wife, homemaker and mother of two sons.
Along with her parents, Margaret is also preceded in death by brother, Morris Carpenter and sisters, Allene Reid, Coralie Wood and Betty Skinner.
She is survived by her husband, Weldon Johnson of Arlington; sons, Steven Johnson of Arlington and Ronald Johnson and wife, Sheri of North Richland Hills; sister, Ruth Holleman of Mabank; brother, Reagan Carpenter of Kerens; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
