Larry was a fully retired Military disabled veteran of the Army for over twenty years. Once he retired he began his career at Hartford Insurance Company where he inspired many of his co-workers with positive and inspirational thoughts to them during huddle and through group chats.
Larry was born and raised in Muskogee, OK, surviving his father Norman Harold Ballinger and his mother Lola Mae (Briley) Ballinger and one brother Ellery Lynn Ballinger.
Larry attended Muskogee High School where his love for playing the trumpet began. That took him to Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK, where he studied Music education and he met a wonderful group of friends there. To this day they will always go out of their way to be there for each other.
Instead of completing his degree he decided to change paths and go into the Army. His career began in the Army band where his army family began. He was in the army off and on for over 20 years.
If you ask anyone about Larry they would tell you he had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laughter. He was always ready to minister to anyone who wanted it and needed it. His heart was always full of love and laughter.
