Patsy Lue Tompkins, 68, died at her home in West Columbia, Texas on Sunday, August 21, 2022, surrounded by her husband and children. She was born November 21, 1953, in Freeport, Texas to Hares and Lula Strother. She was survived by her husband of 44 years, Donald Tompkins, and children Cheryl Erdman, Vicki and Russell Guenther, Tina and Shawn Harper, Kevin Tompkins; 15 grandchildren, and countless great-grandchildren; brothers, Everett Strother, William Strother; sister, Lue Ellen Bergen; numerous nephews and nieces. She had served in the National Guards; worked in fast food; and graduated from Brazosport College with her nursing degree, before she came a fulltime stay-at-home Mom. She was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings; daughter, Lori Cross; granddaughter, Rachael Erdman; grandson, Michael Trevino; great-grandsons, Joseph Love and Khaison Sanchez-Wiley. Services were held at 1:00 p.m. at Victory Fellowship, Brazoria, Texas, officiated by Jamie Hill. Graveside services followed at Cedar Lawn in West Columbia following the service. Pallbearers were Kevin Tompkins, Ricky Mears, Shawn Harper, Kenneth Strother, Duane Burt. Honorary pallbearers were Phillip Erdman, Stephen Guenther, Brandon Jones, Christian Sanchez, Matthew Jones, Joseph Burt, Rex Mears.
