Leland F. Bayne, 71, 2516 S. Steele St., died of a heart attack at the home of his daughter in Invers Grove Heights, Minn. He suffered the attack shortly after arriving by plane Thursday night. Mr. Bayne was born June 18, 1907, at Luton, Iowa. He was graduated from Luton High School and attended Morningside College. He married Ellen M. Poulson July 25, 1938, at Milbank, S. D. He worked for Sadoff's Clothing for 43 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and served on the committee that built the church. He also served as a deacon and elder. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Nancy Curl and Miss Carol Bayne, both of Invers Grove Heights and Mrs. Steve (Judith) Miller of Sioux City; one son, Donald L. of South Sioux City, one brother, Dwight of Smithland; six grandchildren. Services are pending at W. Harry Christy Funeral Home In Morningside.
