Thomas Edwin Jeffery of Horseshoe Bend, son of the late Thomas Mason Jeffery and Ada Wiles Jeffery, was born Aug. 20, 1915, in Mount Olive, Ark. He died Dec. 4, 2005, at his home in Horseshoe Bend at the age of 90.

He was married to Mary Elizabeth Hopkins Oct. 1, 1967, in Mammoth Spring. During his working years he was the superintendent of golf courses in Horseshoe Bend.

He was of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Mary Elizabeth Jeffery of Horseshoe Bend; three sons, Darrell Jeffery of Alaska, Duane Jeffery of Bartlesville, Okla., and Wendell Jeffery of Springfield, Mo.; one daughter, Betty Sue Page of Melbourne; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Graveside funeral services were held Dec. 8 at Evening Shadows Cemetery with Father Perske officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Eddie?s Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.
