ASHEBORO - Joyce Edgeworth Leach, age 82, of Randolph Health & Rehabilitation Center, Asheboro died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.
Mrs. Leach was born October 1, 1925 at Ruby, SC the daughter of the late Charles Oliver and the late Bessie (Griggs) Edgeworth. She studied music and voice in New York. She worked for the FBI in Washington, DC and was even able to get a signed autograph of J. Edgar Hoover, the founder of the FBI. She was preceded in death by her husband William Patterson Leach.
She is survived by one daughter: Carol G. Royal of Thomasville; one son: Charles Goldson and wife, Nancy of Thomasville; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:003:00 pm at Pugh- Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC. The funeral will be Saturday at 3:00 pm at PughTroy Funeral Home Chapel, 211 North Main Street, Troy with Rev. Billy Roy officiating. Burial will be in Forks Of Little River Baptist Church Cemetery, Troy.
