Daughter of Ossie Cook and Mary Glynn Anderson Cook. She retired from the Georgia War Veterans Home after 25 years. She served as a deaconess at Darien Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 72 years, Waymond Sterlig Boyer; brothers, Johnny Cook, Billy Cook and Edward Cook; and sister, Lavinia Key; sons- in-law, Ernie Simons and Joseph Ben Stewart; and great granddaughter, Sadie Brett Boyer.
