Michael E. Jones, 76, of Canal Fulton, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2022, at Aultman's Compassionate Care Center, after a 9+ year battle with Parkinson's disease. Born in Charleston, WV to Hudson and Opal Jones, after the death of his father, the family moved to Massillon, OH. Mike graduated from Washington High School and went on to work at Republic Steel. He and his wife Carole moved to Canal Fulton. He opened Curves with Carole, as he was so passionate about health and people. He then helped his wife open her dream of a nursery. He was a member of SS. Philip and James catholic church.

He loved camping, fishing, guns, and dirt bike riding in his younger years. His favorite thing was to be with his family. He loved family dinners, family vacations, and holidays. Family was his everything. Everyone who knew Mike, loved him. His gentle soul sincerely cared about every person who crossed his path.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Piper.

He is survived by the love of his life, Carole, his 2 sons, Michael Jones of Massillon, and Richard (Christine)Royer of Tennessee, his daughter Jennifer (Nicholas) Montgomery of North Carolina, his 6 grandchildren, Sara (Chris) Tebos, Andrew (Amy) Royer, Brittany (Cody) Schaefer, Anthony Harbert, Drake Harbert, Christian Jones, 3 great grandchildren Everett, Emery, and Lincoln. His brothers and sister by marriage, Jim(Paulette) Martin, Dave (Bernette) Check, Suzanne (Todd) Diss, and 3 nephews, Jamie (Angie) Martin, Joe Diss, Sean (Brittany) Diss, and his mother and father in law, Bubs and Pops (Theresa and Joe Check)

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday August 31, 2022 at 11am at SS Philips and James (412 High Street, Canal Fulton 44614) with Fr. Kevin McCaffrey as celebrant. Friends and family may call 1 hour prior to mass at the church.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Stark County Humane Society in Mike's name, as he loved animals and they loved him. The family would also like to thank the staff and doctors at Aultmans Compassionate Care Center and the staff at Sarahcare Belden Village.
