Mary is the daughter of Ray and Vircey Bedsole of Ponce de Leon, Florida. Mary and Charles are the parents of 3 children, Linda Dawson, Charles P Andrews, Jr., and Sherry AliFarhani; grandparents of 10; great-grandparents of 21; and great-great-grandparents of 1.
Everyone who knew her grieves the passing of this vibrant, smiling woman who loved welcoming and cooking for those who stopped by her home in Columbus, Georgia, or Pensacola, Florida. Mary/Mimi and Charles ( Buddy to family and friends and Andy at Gulf Power) lived an active life of camping, boating and skiing, bowling, square dancing, and church activities at Pine Forest Methodist Church.
As the heart of her large family, Mimi provided countless country style meals with roasts, chicken and dumplings, hot dogs and "the stuff", mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables, cornbread, rolls, banana pudding, pound cakes, sweet tea, and our favorite breakfast foods, biscuit toast, cheese grits, and toads-in-the-hole. No one left her table hungry or unloved!
Mary was also a talented pianist who shared her love of music with family, various churches, and young piano students. Her homes were filled with music, cards and board games, Wii games, laughter, and good times. The spring-fed lake in Pensacola was both the peaceful retreat for Charles and Mary as well as the fun family playground all summer.
She will be long missed. May she truly rest in peace knowing she was very very loved.
The family will receive friends at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 1 pm till the service begins at 2 pm.
