James Matthew McElroy of Millstone was born on April 5, 1985 and departed his life on August 19, 2022 doing what he loved. He was 37 years old. He leaves to cherish his sweet memories his loving parents James Keith and Joann McElroy, grandmother Charlene McElroy, 3 adoring children Jauna, Jayda, and Landyn McElroy, one step son Jaxson McElroy, one brother Jonathan (Megan) McElroy and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his grandfather James "Bud" McElroy and grandparents Claude and Betty Lou Bentley. Matthew was a loving father who strived to be the best he could be for his kids. He was a gentle spirit and always willing to lend a helping hand. Funeral 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Larry McElroy and Bill Craft officiating. Visitation: 6:00-10:00 PM Monday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at a later date in the Riley Bentley Cemetery.
