"Arthur Kinsler Sr.
Arthur P. Kinsler Sr., 70, 1217 Holyoke St., died Tuesday (Nov. 8, 1988) at Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center after an illness of one year.
Born in Stonega [sic], Va., he lived in Kingsport most of his life and was the son of the late Lon and Burlie Stewart Kinsler. He was employed by J.P. Stevens for 38 years retiring in 1983.
Mr. Kinsler was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Kingsport Masonic Lodge No. 688 and the Jericho Temple.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Dee, Joe and Huburt Kinsler; one sister, Bunia Kinsler; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
Surviving are his wife Cleo W. Kinsler; two daughters, Mrs. Murrell (Billie Jean) Byington and Mrs. Buck (Ina Joy) Wilson, both of Kingsport; two sons, Arthur P. (Slim) Kinsler Jr., Fort Mahabe Ariz. and I. Joe Kinsler, Hendersonville, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; six brothers, Elmer C. (Shorty) Kinsler, Silver Springs, Md., Charlie Kinsler, Baltimore, Md., Paul Kinsler, Bill Kinsler, Wade Kinsler and Fred Kinsler, all of Kingsport; three sisters, Mrs. Fred (Katie) Marshall, Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Albert (Martha) Lloyd Cumberland, Ky., and Mrs. Lynell (Evelyn) Christian, Church Hill; two stepsisters, Mrs. Buster (Stella) Drinnon and Mrs. John (Beatrice) Kinsler.
Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at East Lawn Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Carl smith and the Rev. Chris Stidham officiating.
Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park."
