Steven Douglas Pettigrew, the son of Ted Pettigrew and Lynne Radcliffe, died early Saturday morning, 26 January 2008 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Howland.

Steven was a 2003 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and attended the ITT Technical Institute for three years. He was employed by J.S. Northeast Excavating in Girard where he worked as a mechanic. Steven was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping and fishing. He also built and repaired computers. Most of all Steven was a demolition derby fanatic. Steven owned demolition cars and loved taking them to the demolition derbies over the summer. He participated in weekly Truck Night competitions and was in the process of building his own new mud truck. Steven was of the catholic faith and was a member of the St. James Church.

He will be dearly missed by his loving mother, Lynne Radcliffe of Cortland with whom he made his home, his father and stepmother Ted and Wendy Pettigrew of Mineral Ridge, a sister Tiffany Pettigrew of Cortland, Maternal grandparents, Everett and Regina Radcliffe of Warren, Paternal grandparents William and Dolores Pettigrew of Warren, Maternal great grandmother Duclane Rybicki of Vandergrift, PA, many aunts and uncles and several cousins.

Calling hours were held Monday evening from 6 to 8PM at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel. Rev. George Popovich conducted a Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 11AM at the St. James Church.
