Elizabeth Ann "Lib" Garber was born the 6th of 12 known children, Section 36, Jefferson Twp., Richland Co., OH to Samuel B. Garber, Jr. & Catharine (Leedy) Garber.

Lib married Aaron A. Leedy (her 1st cousin once removed) 03-13-1856 in Jefferson Twp., Richland Co., OH. Aunt "Lib", as she was commonly called, according to the "Leedy Chronicle", was one of the finest cooks known. After marriage, they lived on her father's farm on Section 36. About 1869 Aaron built a brick home on Section 35, Jefferson Twp., Richland Co., OH which according to historians was one of the grandest homes of the time in the area and the 1st home in Richland County with running water. Lib Leedy helped raise 9 children, 8 of which lived to maturity. Both Aaron and Lib Leedy were members of the Universalist Church at Bellville, OH, which to this day has a stained glass window made in Switzerland in place with their names inscribed.

Elizabeth Leedy died on Christmas Day, 1921, aged 83y-11m-15d (per death certificate). She is buried beside her husband at Owl Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Sec. 3, Berlin Twp., Knox Co., OH.
