Funeral services for Tommy E. Poole will commence at 10:00AM on Thursday, August 25, 2022 in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park. Pastor Gene Witt will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow the funeral at the Hilltop Memorial Park in Carrollton, Texas.
Tommy Edward Poole of Celina, Texas, entered into his heavenly home to be with his loving Father Our Lord on August 15, 2022. Tommy was born in Gilmer, Texas, on March 8, 1945, to Edward Poole and Oleta Hill Poole. He was a lifelong resident of Texas
Tommy graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington and pursued a career in the construction industry, retiring as the owner for over forty years of a local well-known sheetmetal contracting company.
Tommy also served in the United States Army during the second half of the 1960s as a Tanker in Germany.
He was a member of the Garland Masonic Lodge as well as the Carrollton Masonic Lodge, the Dallas Scottish Rite, York Rite and the Knights Templar.
Tommy's passion was his love of all animals, especially his rescue dogs. He also bred and successfully showed many quarter horses during the past thirty years.
Tommy was a member of Love Fellowship Church in Celina, Texas, where he served as their Worship Leader and as a Deacon.
Tommy is predeceased by: his stepson, James Leon Orr; his daughter, Laronda Rexann Poole; and his sister, Nancy Poole Austin.
He is survived by: his wife, Marian Huhn Poole; his sister, Edwinna Poole (Roble) Loftis of Memphis, Tennessee; and his sister, Peggy Poole Thornton of Gilmer, Texas. Tommy is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Tommy was a kind and gentle man...always positive...always helping others.
