Arlene M. Bauer, age 88, of Faribault, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 13, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault, with Fr. Kevin Kenney, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. and on Monday for one hour prior to the services at the church. The rosary will be recited on Sunday at 5:00 p.m.

Arlene Mary was born on August 18, 1926 in Redfield, SD to Lyle and Abbie (Tix) Tebo. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School with the class of 1945. Arlene was united in marriage to Luverne Bauer on July 11, 1946 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. She was a homemaker for her family and assisted Luverne with their farm in Richland Township, Rice County, MN. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2007. Arlene was a member of many organizations, including the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Daughters of Isabella, Faribault Eagles Auxiliary, and the Senior Center. She also volunteered as a 4H leader, on the Bethlehem Academy board, and delivered meals-on-wheels. Arlene also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and was a devoted grandmother. She is survived by five children, Paul (Bonnie) Bauer, Abbie (Greg) Balfe, Jean (Dewey) Herda, Joan Cahill, all of Faribault and John (Sue) Bauer of Boston, MA; by 11 grandchildren, Rollie Bauer, Aaron (Britt) Bauer, Mary Kay Mann, Chris (Prinna) Boudreau, Katie Lenway, Graham (Holly) Adams, Dana Adams, Bailey Cahill, Abbie Cahill, Pat Cahill, and Jack Bauer; and by nine great grandchildren, Molly, Natalie, and Noah Bauer, Kylie Jo and Carter Mann, Annabelle, Eve, and Alec Boudreau, and Isla Adams; sister-in-law, Audrey Tebo; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luverne; parents, Lyle and Abbie; son, Lyle Bauer; daughter, Carol Houle; grandson, Ryan Adams; great granddaughter, Sophia Boudreau; brother, Raland Tebo; and sisters, Delores Edel and Bernas Dudley. Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Academy or Divine Mercy Catholic Church in memory of Arlene.
