William Garcia Reyes was born on January 28, 1952 in Brawley, California and passed away peacefully on August 5, 2022 at Scripps Memorial in La Jolla, California at the age of 70.
William was a hard-working individual who served in many capacities throughout the years. He started his service in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam era veteran. After completing his term as a soldier, he became a police officer in Brawley California and served his community for five years. He then transitioned to working for the United States immigration for 31 years as a Border Patrol Agent in Fresno California. While residing in Fresno, he met his one and only soulmate Sunita Kamari also known as Sandy of Sacramento, CA who knew after one month he couldn't live without and they were married. This love lasts to this day with a marriage of 30 years proving true love still exists. He then was a Port of Entry Officer in Lukeville, Arizona where he transferred to Bakersfield, California as a Deportation Officer and eventually retiring as an ICE agent.
William has been a fan of his beloved 49ers since 1971. He was emotionally invested in every game and enjoyed barbecuing for family and friends. Everyone knew he cook the best ribs and those times will surely be missed.
He will be missed by his loving wife, Sunita "Sandy" Reyes and his children, Will Reyes and Sigourney Reyes. He also is survived fur babies, Moo Man, Poo, Monkey, Rocky, 8 Ball, Masky, Gray Gray, Precious, Bear, and Chotu.
Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Light Funeral Home on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at Chapel of the Light Funeral Home on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 11:30 a.m.
Entombment with Military Honors will follow in the Garden of Solace Mausoleum at Chapel of the Light.
