Mary D. Franks, 76, of Moline, died January 29, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Funeral services were at Calvary Church of the Quad-Cities, (4417-53rd St. Moline). Burial was in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Mary was born November 21, 1931 in Lepanto, Arkansas to Calvin and Martha (Hatten) Finchum. She married Thomas Franks on October 16, 1948 in Senatobia, MS. He preceded her in death on August 11, 1988. Mary worked for 22 years at John Deere Parts Distribution Warehouse, Milan and retired in 1998 as an inspector. Mary was a member of Calvary Church of the Quad-Cities. She was also a member of UAW Local Union #79 John Deere and was a former bowler with her fellow union members. She also enjoyed ceramics. Mary was a loving and very dedicated mother and grandmother. Mary is survived by Daughter Dianne (David) Carter Moline Son Tom Franks Oshkosh, WI She was blessed with 4 grandchildren Zachary Franks Madeline Mary Helen Franks Lindsey Carter Matthew Carter Sisters Louise Dotson Palm Desert, CA Carlene Seyller Little Rock, Arkansas Joan Bodouin Gulf Port, MS Doris Bryan Lepanto, Arkansas Charlotte Pierce Batesville, Arkansas She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
