June Wright, 81, of Grand Rapids, Ohio passed away October 29, 2018. June was born on November 19, 1936 to the late James and Esther (Shufelt) Pugh. June married Jerry Wright, the love of her life, and they were married for 58 years before he preceded her in death on May 23, 2013. June is survived by her children: Marvin Jr., Mark, Kimberly (Harold) Freeworth; grandchildren: Meggan Wright, Randi (Brian) Klosterman, Cortney (Michelle) Wright, Brock (Kristi) Freeworth, Brittani Freeworth, Samantha Wright; great-grandchildren: Kaitlynn, Kellie, Kenzie, Miley, Loryn, Haleigh, Jacob, Larkin, Corrine and Cora; sisters Eleanor Eckhart, Lois Lee; brother: Ross Pugh, and many others that knew June by "Grandma." June was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, sister Doris Bills and brother Ray Pugh. June worked for over three decades at the Campbell Soup Company as an accountant. She loved to garden, shop, cook, and swim. June loved to socialize and enjoyed family get togethers, especially game nights with the grandchildren. She gave of her time freely, treated everyone as an equal and wouldn't take anything for free. June was tough and mighty for her size and she will be greatly missed by everyone.
Visitation for June will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM in the Wright-Hanneman Funeral Home, 24084 W. Second Street, Grand Rapids, Ohio 43522. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Wright-Hanneman Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be gifted in June's honor to the Lupus Foundation, the Grand Rapids Arts Council, or the Grand Rapids Library. Hanneman Family Funeral Homes is honored to serve June's family.
