A narive of Franklin County, he was born February 17, 1929 to the late Ed Jackson, Sr., and Bessie Morris Jackson, who survives.
He was a member of the Nazarene Church and a veteran of the U. S. armed forces.
Services were February 2 at Moore-Cortner Chapel, followed by burial at Montgomery Cemetery in Cowan.
In addition to his mother, Bessie Brown of Winchester, survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Jackson of Hillsboro; two daughters, Alice Merchant and Kelley Edge, both of Fayetteville, North Carolina; one son, Carl Wayne Jackson of Hillsboro; four sisters, Susie Rayfield of Missouri, Willie King of Cowan, Ruthie Martin of Winchester, and Louise Kelley of Gary, Indiana; four brothers, J. C. Jackson and Bobby Jackson, both of Chicago, Illinois, Jack Jackson of Wilmington, Delaware, and Tommy Jackson of Winchester; and three grandchildren.
