Lisa Maria Gonzalez, 58, of Henryville, Passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilks-barre, PA. She was the devoted wife of Abraham Gonzalez. They would have celebrated 7 years of marriage on October 4.
Born on September 20, 1958 in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of Carlos and Rafaela Silva-Miranda.
Lisa was a wonderful woman. She graduated BMCC St. Johns University and worked in many hospitals over the years. Her most recent position was held as an administrative assistant for the OBGYN office at Weil Cornell University hospital in New York.
Lisa was a musician; she enjoyed singing, playing the piano, and performing with her band at local clubs, events, and festivals. She owned and operated In the Groove Karaoke for many years. Lisa will always be remembered as a kind and caring woman who loved to help anyone in need. As a volunteer for the VFW, Eastburg Alliance, and American Legion, she stood by her husband's military ministry and helped local veterans obtain the assistance they deserved.
In addition to her beloved husband Abraham and her parents Carlos and Rafaela, Lisa Maria had been survived by her aunt; Felicita Silva; and her 8 furry companions, her cats: Siena Blu, Lalo, Heineken, Kalua, Baily, Goldie, Charlie, and Climber; and her beloved cockatiel with whom she whistled tunes every morning; Hawk.
