Mrs. Gabriella Johnston, widow of Dr. F. W. Johnston, and daughter of the late Gabriel Johnston, died at her home in this city Friday evening after an illness of several months, aged 61 years. She was an active member of Trinity church, a devoted mother, and leaves a large circle of sorrowing relatives and friends. Five children survive her--four sons and one daughter.
Funeral services were held from Trinity church Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock, and the interment made in the family lot in the City Cemetery, Rev. J. C. Gray officiated. The pall-bearers were St. George R. Fitzhugh, G. W. Shepherd, J. B. Ficklen, John S. Berrey, J. J. Berrey, H. B. Lane, Samuel Fitzhugh and C. H. Hurkamp.
