Carroll was a follower of Jehovah and a veteran of the Army. She received her education from W.B. Wicker School and Sanford Central High; after, she attended Randolph Community College. She worked for UNC Health Systems as a CNA and later with Patient Accounts before relocating to Asheboro. She worked various jobs before becoming hired by Ready Mart where she retired from in February 2021. She enjoyed fellowshipping with friends and family and reading.
Carroll is survived by her sons, Gerard (Sherry) and Davion (Nayira); granddaughters, Jayda (who she called her Sunshine) and Jessica; grandsons, Justin and Justice; brother, Elton "Bill" (Linda); sister, Elinor "Jennie"; nieces, Pam and Beverly; great nieces, Adrienne, Aliyah, Jaleesha, Jonee', and De'Jiah; great nephews, Christopher and Anthony; great great nieces, Joelle and Jaidyn; a friend who was like a brother, Mike Medley and a host of other relatives and friends. Carroll was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Eric A Jackson.
