Helen "Nanny" was a loving, compassionate, amazing Woman of God. She lived her life not only serving others, but most importantly serving God. She instilled in her children and grandchildren the importance of prayer and a relationship with God. Her favorite song was "Hold to God's Unchanging Hand".
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Slagle; sisters, Barbara Oakley, Patsy McCarty, and Joy Hathcock. She is also preceded in death by her son, George "Glenn" Wiggins.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, 4 sons, 1 sister, 14 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
She is buried in the Gilgal Cemetery, 2991 Old Arcadia Road, Minden, Webster Parish, Louisiana.
