Helen Nenney Sawyer Collins, age 85 was born on August 31, 1936 and passed away on June 2, 2022 after a lengthy illness. Helen was of the Baptist faith and grew up in Catherine Nenney Baptist Church. She worked at Shelby Williams.

She was preceded in death by parents, William "Bill" and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Nenney; first husband, Kenneth "Kent" Sawyer; second husband, Bill Collins; sisters, Kitty Pearl Quinton, and Louise Orrick.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Clark Wyatt; special grandson, Kenneth Clay Wyatt; sister, Elizabeth Ridley; niece, Loraine Rice, as well as a host of friends and neighbors.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to SunCrest Hospice of Tazwell, TN for the amazing care, Dr. Eric Delay and Rebecca Wilson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 10AM until 12PM at Mayes Mortuary. A funeral service will begin at 12PM with Rev. James Ramsey officiating, and a graveside service will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.

Pall bearers will be: Clark Wyatt, Clay Wyatt, Lynton Sawyer, Jerry Self, Tom Collins, and Brad Dearing.
