Daughter of Floyd T. Martin III and Sally A. Massingill

Clara Jean Martin, age 42, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of LaSalle, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, in her home.

Clara was born March 22, 1979, in Monroe, she was the daughter of
Floyd T. and Sally A. (Massingill) Martin, III. She was a 1998 graduate of Airport High School.
She was a woman with a strong work ethic and attended Westover Hills Christian Church, San Antonio, where she received her spiritual nourishment, and would watch their service through livestream when she was unable to attend.

Clara enjoyed gardening, flowers and working in her yard. She had a love for designer handbags, shoes and enjoyed her jewelry. Wherever Clara was around you could hear her infectious laugh. She enjoyed the holidays and decorated for each one.

No one could hold a candle to the lavish meals that she prepared. Her sons were her life.
She also had three constant furry friends Sheekie, Prince and Xena.
She is survived by her three sons,
Deymon Martin, Devin Martin and Deyvaghn Martin all of San Antonio, TX;
parents, Floyd and Sally Martin of LaSalle;
grandparents, Floyd and Anna Martin, Jr. of Erie;
a brother, Floyd (Justin Rhoades) Martin, IV; grandchild,
Zarah Martin of San Antonio.

She is preceded in death by her son,
Dejuan Martin and grandparents, Warren and Jean Massingill.

Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Bacarella Funeral Home 1201 S.
