Venice Sant Parker, 88, passed away August 1, 2022 in Boise, ID.
A visitation for friends and family will be held 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Thursday August 25th, 2022, at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City, Idaho. The committal service will be held at 1:00 pm at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery.
Venice was born on February 7, 1934 at the family home in Treasureton, ID to Louis and Dessa Sant, she was the oldest of four children. She grew up in a happy family with lots of love despite the trials they were given.
Venice attended elementary, middle and high school in Preston ID, and 1 year of college at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. She was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During her early years, she babysat from the age of 10, worked at the local teenage hangout and after high school worked as a telephone operator and at Utah State's Student Union.
Venice was full of life, bubbly and an outgoing gal when she met Boyd Arthur Parker from Newton UT a quiet, shy boy who had just returned from the Korean War, in the summer of '55. They had an instant connection; Boyd knew right away that she was the one for him.
They married on December 19, 1955, in the Logan UT Temple. Boyd was the love of her life. She loved spending time with him as they traveled around the country. They were blessed with 5 children. They lived in Logan UT, Palisade's Idaho, Afton WY, Columbus NE, North Logan UT, Meridian, Eagle and Boise ID.
Venice loved being a homemaker and she was good at it! She enjoyed interior design and decorating for the seasons and all the holidays. She loved cooking, canning & preserving food from their garden, she never made a single batch of anything. If you showed up at mealtime you never left her house without being fed. She loved flower arranging and especially making pressed flower arrangements, tole painting, and dancing (she took a modern dance class from BYU), unfortunately Boyd had two left feet. She loved traveling and learning about new cultures. She enjoyed genealogy, especially indexing. Her life long hobby was reading, she was an avid reader, and a loyal library patron. She loved kids and always had "grandma's treat jar" full of goodies.

She loved her family, and took great pride in each of them. She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years Boyd Parker, sons, Steven Parker, David (Renee) Parker, John (Sayuri) Parker, Richard (Leda) Parker, and daughter Ann (Cody) Feuz, 16 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis & Dessa Sant, brother Perry Sant, SIL Jolene Sant, Alberta Sant, and DIL Jody Parker.

The family would like to thank all those who cared for our wife, mother, grandmother, over the years. Especially the staff and caregivers at Edgewood Castle Hills Assisted Living, Keystone Health, and All Care Hospice. It has been a journey and we appreciate you all!
