Rodney was blessed with the breath of life on September 9, 1957 to the parentage of James & Edith (Griffin) McGee in Gulf County, Florida. Being raised in a Christian home, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was a member of the Zion Fair Missionary Baptist Church of Port St. Joe, Florida. Rodney served as a usher and in any capacity needed at his church.
Rodney was employed with the City of Mexico Beach as a Sanitation Truck Driver for numerous years. He loved sports and would often enjoy watching and attending the Florida State Football games. Rodney had a beautiful personality and always had a smile on his face. He truly loved his family and the community that he lived in.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife of 18 years: Connie Gudger McGee of Port St. Joe, Florida; his mother: Mrs. Edith G. Best of Port St. Joe, Florida; beloved children: Valerie (Corey) Daniels, Tamarah (Anthony) McGee-Williams, Jerome Russ, Tyrone Russ & Howard Johnson; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three sisters: Linda (Josh) Washington of Tallahassee, Florida, Bridget (Craig) Collins of Port St. Joe, Florida, and Tammy (Clyde) Gray of Wewahitchka, Florida; four brothers: Danny McGee of Port St. Joe, Florida, Rev.
