Patricia (Patty) Jean Cohen passed in Austin, TX on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the age of 65 surrounded by family and friends. Beloved wife of Michael, mother of Ethan and Hannah, mother-in-law of Kristen, sister of Mary, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Patty was born and raised in Louisville, KY on October 30, 1956 to Frances and Earl Arehart. She met her husband Michael while studying at the University of Louisville in KY and then went on to pharmacy school at St. Johns University in NY. The two married in 1988 and later moved to Austin, Texas to raise their two wonderful children. Patty loved her family and prioritized their care and happiness above all else.
As a pharmacist, Patty was devoted to the community. In return, she was loved and adored by her patients. Caring for her patients was her passion. Patty was a faithful member of the Catholic Church. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, crafting, quilting, watching the Hallmark channel on TV, and Christmas festivities.
Donations welcome at either Regarding Cancer, where Patty was an active volunteer in the organization to help cancer patients through their experiences, or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
