EMT David Raymond Ebers, 61, passed away at his home on August 4, 2022, after he was diagnosed with cancer. He was born in Ridgecrest, California on July 31, 1961. David graduated from Barstow High School in 1979, participating in football, baseball and track. He also graduated from Barstow Community College.
David is survived by his brother, Michael Ebers, sister, Carol Cosper, children, Brittany Hawkins, Timothy Hopkins, Devin and Destiny Ebers and his grandchildren, Aria, Sutton, and Liam Hawkins.
David was preceded in death by his mother, June Dene Ebers, father, Roger Ebers, and brother, Marvin Arneson.
He was laid to rest on Wednesday at Mountain View Memorial Park in Barstow. An American Medical Response employee, Embers was a 39-year veteran of Emergency Medical Services. A Victorville Fire Department engine displaying a large American flag paid tribute to David on Stoddard Wells overpass.
