Although work was important to him, family was his top priority. He met the love of his life Amanda "Mandi" Sangster in 2007, and they would wed on December 6, 2008 at the historic St. Louis Church in Gervais, Oregon. They were blessed with three sons, Axel, Titus, and Zack. Mark was the most fun dad. His three little boys were his joy; they were everything to him. Mark and Mandi had the most loving marriage; he was always proud, protective, and so sweet. Often described as a "Big Teddy Bear," he was passionate about his family, always talking about the boy's latest accomplishments, and how proud he was of his wife, encouraging her to pursue a career as a pharmacist.
Mark was "King of All Nerds." He rose early each morning to play video games with his boys, and he loved reading and anything computer-related.
It was a swift and mysterious illness that took down this beautiful soul. Mark passed unexpectedly after a brief but intense illness on July 9, 2022, in Clackamas, Oregon. This thoughtful, goofy, loyal and hardworking husband/dad/son/brother/uncle/friend left a void in the lives of his family, friends, and co-workers. It feels like we lost him much too soon. But he fought an amazingly good fight during his 2 weeks in the hospital, suffering patiently and caring for those who were taking care of him right until the end.
Mark is survived by his wife Mandi Hansen; sons, Axel, Titus, Zack; siblings, Jen Mahoney, Denise Talbert, Janice Nelson and Mary Sangster; parents, Catherine and Jimmy Hansen, as well as extended family members and friends.
