Joe and LaFern were married on May 24, 1952 and were married a total of 61 amazing years! Nanny Fern loved to fish at Lake Texhoma, collect dolls, read, do sudoku, crossword puzzles, play LCR, bingo, and solitaire and to "have a little vanilla ice cream for dinner"!
She will always be remembered for her giggle, for her seemingly always present sweet smile, and kind, compassionate spirit. Her customary sendoff was always, "you be careful. "
LaFern was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe, her seven sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
