William W. Johns, 76, of Mt. Pleasant Township, passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. William was born Jan. 14, 1945, in Greensburg, the son of the late Wayne and Marion Carlson Johns. He was employed as a draftsman by Westinghouse Electric. William was a car enthusiast, loving his Corvette and car cruising with his friends. He also enjoyed flying his radio controlled airplanes and the outdoors as a hunter, fisherman and working on his property. Surviving is his wife, Trudy Meisl Johns; children, Michael Johns (Denise) and Amanda Kaylor (Clint); grandchildren, Daniel, Melinda Holtzer (Erich), Steven Johns (Melissa), Caleb, Lucas and Theo Kaylor; and also nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Johns. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, 730 W. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with the Rev Richard J. Kosisko officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the Fairview Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township.
