Clyde L. Holmes, 82, 9210 Howland Springs Rd. SE, died at 6:35 a.m. today in Trumbull Memorial Hospital, following a six-day illness. Born May 8, 1890, in Stoneboro, Pa., he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Holmes.
A resident here over 50 years coming from Youngstown, he was last employed by U.S. Gypsum Co.
Survivors include his wife, Pansy Hodge Holmes, whom he married March 13, 1911; two daughters, Mrs. James A. (Dorothy) Thompson and Mrs. Mildred Limber, both of Warren; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Loyd of Grove City, Pa.
Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the McFarland and Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
